Gil Hodges
He was one of the Boys of Summer, the Brooklyn Dodger teams of the 1950s. A member of the 1955 World Series Championship team, his contributions as a player were somewhat overshadowed by his success as the manager of the New York Mets during their upset World Series victory over the Baltimore Orioles in 1969.
